Frequently Asked Questions

Can I arrange an in-person consultation?

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, I will not be conducting in-person consultations for the next few months. I can however discuss your invitation requirements by telephone, email or Zoom. Indeed, this is exactly how my international customers have their consultations! I appreciate your understanding at this time.

Are you still able to send out invitations?

Yes. Printed invitations can be sent direct to you from our printers, to minimise contact.  A courier service will be used for all handmade invitations, at no extra cost to you.

What's included in your Invitations?

As a minimum, all of my invitations come with an Invitation + envelope/box, an RSVP card + envelope, an Information card/sheet, and a pre-order Menu if required.  Some designs have sticker seals and bands as standard. Courier delivery of your order to a UK address is free on all of my stationery. You can, of course, just order the pieces you need.

How long will my invitations take?

The lead time for delivery of printed stationery is 4 weeks from receipt of final wording; handmade stationery lead time is 6 weeks from receipt of final wording. If you need your order quicker, get in touch as I can usually accommodate tighter deadlines.

How soon should I be organising my wedding invitations?

It's never too early to organise your invitations.  I undertake a limited amount of bespoke handmade wedding commissions each year, so if you know you want me to make your invitations, the earlier you can book, the better. Ideally you should be organising your invitations at least 6 months before you want to send them out.

I have a very short timescale - can you still make my invitations?

It's worth asking.  If I have availability, I will certainly do my utmost to accommodate your timescale.

I am not based nearby, can I still order bespoke invitations from you?

Absolutely!  I work with clients all over the world.  Although you are unlikely to have a face-to-face consultation, I can cover everything by telephone, email or Zoom and can send out a comprehensive questionnaire to make sure I have all the necessary information.

I don't have all my information yet. Do you need this before I order my invitations?

No.  The most time-consuming part is the design of your bespoke invitations.  I can mock-up wording that will give you an idea of the types of things you might want to include.  Once you have settled on your perfect design, I will work with you to finalise your wording and will email you proofs of the agreed wording prior to printing.

Can you provide on-the-day stationery?

Of course.  If you want your on-the-day stationery to co-ordinate with your invitations, it is wise to let me know when you are booking your invitations.  I can then let you know which designs are likely to work best for all of your wedding stationery.

Can you offer bespoke artwork for my invitations?

Yes!  I work with a fantastic contemporary artist, Ruth Slater and together we can come up with a unique design for your invitations. Many clients take advantage of this service to include much-loved pets or features from their venue in their special day.

I need to give wedding and evening guests different information regarding coaches etc.  Is this possible?

Absolutely.  I will go over every detail of your special day including what you need to let your guests know and what you would like to hear back from them.  This information is likely to be different for your day and evening guests and I will tailor your invitations accordingly at no extra charge.
